Hi, guys! I’m not usually one for New Year’s resolutions, but I do like to make a to-do list at the beginning of the year. It helps me get organized for the year to come. This year, closet cleaning is at the top of the list.

Now, like I said, I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions. I won’t say, for example, that I’ll go on a diet. But I might try a new exercise to see if I like it. (One year, it was boxing.) I won’t say I’ll do laundry every Saturday, but I will reorganize my closets and/or laundry room. You get the idea.

Reorganizing In The New Year

As some of you know, I’m planning some renovations and redecorating my house. And in this, I’m including a lot of reorganizing. (Over the years, you just accumulate a lot of random stuff. There’s really no better word for it. Just stuff. And if you’re not careful, it can overwhelm you, so it’s good to keep the stuff thinned out.) Last year, I spent way too much time on Pinterest getting ideas for closet/drawer/cabinet organizing. This year, I’m making myself put what I learned to good use.

So recently, I was in my closet, starting to go through some things. It occurred to me that I really need to clear some things out. I’m not talking about getting rid of things I love, mind you. I’m talking about things like an ill-fitting corset I’ll never wear because it’s so uncomfortable. A pair of stockings in which one has a toe hole. (Protip: I’ll keep the other, non-holey one, as a back up for when I get a replacement pair or as a bonus for play. Imagine being tied up by one of my spare stockings!)

Speaking of play, I have rechargable vibrator that…doesn’t hold a charge anymore, lol. So even though I did this last year, it’s time to do some closet cleaning yet again.

Closet Cleaning For All My Friends

And, yes, while I’m doing it, you should, too. Go through your panties and the rest of your feminine wardrobe. Go through your sex toys and get rid of those that don’t work properly or that you just don’t use.

I know how hard it is to let go a favorite item. But unfortunately, sometimes, you just have to. For example, I’m finally parting with one of my favorite pairs of sweats because the holes are just too big.

And to my sissy girl friends: Yes, you need to go through your makeup. Yes, even if you haven’t used it. Especially if you haven’t used it because you still need to replace it. I’m guilty of not doing this as often as I should, too.

Reward Yourself

Then, when your closet cleaning (or drawer or cabinet or vanity or whatever) is complete, reward yourself for taking the time to do it. You can reward yourself with a nice hot bath with a bath bomb, a trip to a store you love, or even a session with your favorite Mistress.

Work hard, for sure. Be also be sure to take the time to reward yourself for your hard work. You know what happens when it’s all work and no play. Plus, if you reward yourself, you’ll be more likely to get more work done later. It’s a positive feedback loop that’ll help you accomplish more.

Are you doing some closet cleaning in the New Year? If so, let me know what you’re cleaning out and getting rid of what and what you’re keeping.

Until next time!

Hugs,

Ms Kay Marie
